Little Boy Blue

This is a hot day in July; a day for shaved ice for a shark-loving little boy. The blend is called “Shark Tank”. And his tongue is as blue as the ocean deep from whence they come!

In the Shadows of Love

True intimacy is when two hearts feels totally safe with one another.

You are Held

Best friends hold tight during good times and hard times.

They hang together.

“It was understood that they shared the same thresholds–the same inexhaustible appetite for wasting time, for discussing lofty ideas, for dissecting trivial things, for driving to nowhere in particular,

for listening to music, for talking about books, for obsessing over pop culture, but mostly for laughing, talking, and simply being together. There was nothing one could say that the other would find too cruel or too kind.

Lines of Life

And on those rare occasions when they did tire of each other, they needed only go a day without talking before they yearned to reconnect.” ― Galt Niederhoffer, The Romantics

Fall on Fire, November 2015

So I’m out taking pictures and once again, my favorite two trees do not disappoint. Every season they seem to be in some sort of movement. This year, with their bright leaves and outstretched branches it seemed they embraced each other in a rhythmic dance. The slideshow offers the beauty of their graceful movements. I thought you would enjoy!

P.S. Be sure to read the captions. Fun! 😊

Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, Easter 2015

After much practice, the choir I sing with presented Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus on Easter Sunday this year. The following was recorded from the sound booth with an iPhone. It’s a pretty amazing recording.

Handel’s Messiah

For me personally it was such a great honor to sing such a complex piece. In the middle all parts split into a beautiful choreographed dance. It was exhilarating to successfully pull it off. I am among several of the highest voices known as “first soprano”. They are not the highest notes I’ve sung in this choir but the timing, quick range changes, and layering  are what makes it challenging.

So there’s a few “nuts and bolts” about choral music you may not have known. Above all things, EnJoy!
