Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
~ Melody Beattie

No games, no gimmicks. Unvarnished truth. These are some of the stories of my life. Honest, true, no cutesy platitudes, no clever language. Just a box full of dreams shattered, things that mattered, that are no more, but nonetheless, replaced. Repaired. And rebuilt into something better. Much better.

You may sometimes laugh, sometimes cry. But I hope

it helps someone out there.

This is the real me.

These stories are dedicated to my sweet brother-in-law, Stan, who passed away suddenly May 24th In 2013 at age 56. Though he is no longer with us to share life, his memory will live on. He brought so much joy to our family and would be visiting my page often. He led a life of honesty, unvarnished truth. Stan, we will honor your memory in our lives as best as we can. We miss you so much.

With everlasting love,
Your favorite sister-in-law,

Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture. ~Kak Sri
