Fall on Fire, November 2015

So I’m out taking pictures and once again, my favorite two trees do not disappoint. Every season they seem to be in some sort of movement. This year, with their bright leaves and outstretched branches it seemed they embraced each other in a rhythmic dance. The slideshow offers the beauty of their graceful movements. I thought you would enjoy!

P.S. Be sure to read the captions. Fun! 😊

Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, Easter 2015

After much practice, the choir I sing with presented Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus on Easter Sunday this year. The following was recorded from the sound booth with an iPhone. It’s a pretty amazing recording.

Handel’s Messiah

For me personally it was such a great honor to sing such a complex piece. In the middle all parts split into a beautiful choreographed dance. It was exhilarating to successfully pull it off. I am among several of the highest voices known as “first soprano”. They are not the highest notes I’ve sung in this choir but the timing, quick range changes, and layering  are what makes it challenging.

So there’s a few “nuts and bolts” about choral music you may not have known. Above all things, EnJoy!
